科研方向
1.植物种子发育的分子机理
种子发育是植物的重要性状。我们在本方向的研究围绕玉米开展，从突变体出发，通过确定突变基因、明确作用的分子机理等研究植物种子的发育调控，并对部分基因开展应用潜力分析。
2.植物人工染色体
人工染色体具有强大的基因携带能力等优点，是新一代的遗传改良平台，在多基因控制性状方面尤其有优势。利用端粒重复序列介导了水稻染色体的断裂，成功构建了水稻人工染色体。
主持课题
1. 2015.07-2017.12，玉米种子发育缺陷基因DEK98的作用机理及应用潜力研究，山东省自然科学基金。
2. 2011.07-2014.06，水稻人工染色体植株再生及遗传体系的建立，山东省优秀中青年科学家奖励基金。
3. 2009.01-2014.12，通过体细胞融合技术将玉米人工染色体向其他作物中转移 国际合作。
